I have been checking out your Blog, I have long been a fan of cordwood building, I first read about it in Mother Earth News and I have always wanted to build one. I am thinking a lot about building a smal 12X12 out building just so I can say I have done it. Yours' looks like a beauty, more power to you kid. It is a beautiful world isn't it?
It is a work of art! My husband and I just moved into our own cordwood home, so I know how much work it was too! I wondered how the light is in there - are you getting enough for it to be a functional greenhouse year round or is it more of a seasonal thing? And how about humidity? I am contemplating a cordwood greenhouse, but am a little worried about the effects of extended periods of humidity on the log ends.
I have always been in love with the natural world. We live in the most beautiful area and have a very unique natural setting to our home.
I just love waking up to the birds and taking my tea to the garden and see what has come up.
As a child we were always outside and my father encouraged us to run, hike and garden. I have fond memories of hiking Mt Washinton with my Dad and Brother (minus my blisters),doing a community garden and hikes on Mt Tom.
Our summers where spent at Lake Champlain, picking blueberries, fishing and making shell plant hangers with my mom.
Those magical experiences have shaped me and given me a passion for the beauty of the natural world. I just love beautiful things; especially the gifts from nature.
